I have purchased Redmi 4 (64GB black) through Amazon.in vide Invoice no.DEL4-15037 dt 17.10.2017 for Rs.9,499.00
Due to some reason I did not used this phone for calling purpose. It was used for camera operations only at few occasions. After sometime it touch screen stopped working, so I went to Service Center. They reinstalled the OS and the touch screen was working fine.
Now, few days back I decided to use this phone so, I put sim card in it. Phone accepted the sim but not shown the signals. I again went to service center in Chandigarh. The service center person said that one indicator inside the phone is in red color which means it is liquid damage and motherboard will be replaced with charges of Rs.5957/- (no comment on tax).
My concern is that I have not used this phone, nor it had any contact with water or sweat then how it is showing red indicator. Maybe it is manufacturing defect. Secondly, at the time of purchase or in warranty card there is no mention of this indicator inside the phone. Thirdly, this phone is with one year of warranty, but it is not given to the customer.
I need your help to get this case resolved.
