I have been residing in the flat no 91, D6 Vasant Kunj, New Delhi -110070 for the last 5 years. This is on the Third floor. Beginning April 2018 this year there has been a scarcity of water. It began with a low pressure in water with a trickle lasting for around 10 minutes to only air in the last few days. Each day when my water finishes in my tank, I go up and borrow water from others when their tank is overflowing. I enquired and found out that most of the residents have put in water pumps and so they have enough water for themselves. Those of us who are dependent on the supply now only has air to be content with. When I approached the DDA office where I go to pay my bill at Saraswati apts in D6- they asked me also to put a water pump ( when everyone has done it you also do it). I approached the RWA they also suggested that I put water pump. I have paid my water bills.
But since providing water to residents is the responsibility of DDA and ensure there is uniform provision for all, my request would be for a long term solution – it is based on the fact that in the last four years the pressure of the water has been good enough and sufficient and why this problem only this year.
While I see the water pump being offered as a solution – I want to know what DDA has done to rectify this water-scarce scenario and going forward what can the residents of Kaveri apts expect.
KINDLY HELP _ NOT HAVING WATER EVERYDAY IS EXTREME VIOLATION OF THE RIGHTS OF RESIDENTS. Kindly restore the supply and ensure there is enough pressure so that we get sufficient water.
PLEASE DO THE NEEDFUL
Thanks and Regards
