My CA No. is 3340251000 for Domestic Use (Consumer Category: CAT I . I would like to inform you that there is error in current Water Bill. The representative Mr. Harsh Deewan from Delhi Jal Board is looking after our area for Water Meter reading etc. He has visited our premises for reading on 15.10.2018. He has found that meter reading is 1175. But the last reading was not taken by him and blindly he has put the reading 1035 for dated 20.08.2018. In this way the Bill amount become Rs. 4471/- for the period 20.08.2018 to 15.10.2018 which is very huge. If, you see the back record there are maximum consumption of 17KL for the 36 Days.
Hence it is requested kindly correct the last reading and revise the Water Bill for earliest payment.

Without giving proper reading of meter they have charged too much in 6 month bill. Please take the proper reading and make an adjustment bill as soon as possible . They charged 3998 rs . How can you charged that much . I have registered the complain in consumer forum complaint number 954599.

A water boring connection inside the block has been set-up when this construction was started, till date 10-20 labors are residing in this building and using boring water 5-6 hours daily.

This is to bring to your kind notice that the water supply in our area (Uttam Nagar, West Delhi) is hampered since past 15 days. Prior to this, we were supplied sewage water through taps for 3-4 days. When someone from our locality complained about this, Delhi Jal Board workers came and dug the pipeline to detect the leakage of sewer water. However, they left the pipeline unrepaired for around a week. Last week, they started laying the new pipeline. But, after starting the work, they again left it and not showed back since last Saturday.
We have no other source of water and are suffering since past few days. We are forced to borrow water from our neighbours and purchase drinking water.
Kindly look into the matter and provide a solution as soon as possible. Please get our water pipeline layed and get our connection restored. Looking for a prompt action in this regard.

I am passing through a series of traumatic experience with the DJB online grievance process. With reference to the consumer complaint number 3900149277 which I submitted online, I found out that the complaint (subject: Fast Meter/Reverse Meter Reading) has been closed abruptly. I registered the complaint on 06/05/2017; however, on 08/05/2017 I received a SMS informing me about the closure of the complaint. My concern is: Without addressing the issue, how can a complaint be closed?
A month before, in April, I visited DJBâs GK-II branch, and submitted an application, clearly stating the issue with the water meter which is taking a reverse reading (Instead of â0000â, it began with â9999â) of the actual units consumed. To support this fact, along with the application, I attached a copy of the latest water bill, the previous bill, a screenshot of the meter reading, and the receipt issues while installing the meter in December, 2013, showing reading as â.02 unitsâ. It has been more than a month now, yet a response from the concerned authority eluded my complaint. In the meantime, another bill (Rs. 13644) including penalties has been charged to me.
In my locality, water supply operates in every alternate days (for 20-30 min), and I use a 500 ltr water tank. The average monthly charges that I received previously never exceeded Rs. 200/pm. In my apartment, the other consumers (with 1000 ltr tanks) are receiving water bills with âzero amountâ!
It is practically not feasible to pay a bill of such nature. Being a loyal ardent consumer, I would like to end this contention by paying the actual amount for the actual units consumed, which can be generated only after the issue is resolved. I have done my bit to resolve this by informing the authority, but of no avail.
I am still searching for my answer. Hopefully, this issue will be resolved soon as I have faith in the DJB authority.
