I purchased Voltas 1.5 ton Model 183 SZS on 14.5.2018 from Viveks Gandhi Nagar Adyar.
I was told to register the unit details within 3 days to get the comprehensive warranty.
The AC arrived home on 15.5.2018. The AC installation guy came on 16.5.2018.
He installed the indoor unit (CBU Code 4502375; IDU Code 4552249). When he opened the outdoor unit for the installation he realised that the unit was damaged. He took pictures of the fault and logged a complaint.
I spoke to the Vivek’s customer care person who said the complaint is logged and promised that the unit will be replaced soon.
I am told today (18.5.2018) by Vivek’s customer care people that Voltas is refusing to replace the unit as the damage in the leg area does not warrant a replacement!
Please tell me why i should pay to purchase a faulty item!
I request you to resolve this at the earliest else I will take this up with consumer court.
