Diken Complaint - Inverter AC (1.5Ton) Gas Leaked within 2 years of Installation

I brought a Daikin Inverter AC in January 2015. The decision of buying a Daikin AC for the first time was because of the reputation of the brand and hallmark Japanese service reputation. Otherwise I was happy with my Voltas (A well respected Indian Brand).

The fancy of brand is proving to be very costly for me.

Within the warranty nobody from company made a visit for volunteer service. Although I forgot to call them to invite for a free service that I count in my fault.

But I paid hefty amount to service through service last year (paid 2500, wherein normal service technicians charge at max 450/-) and this year the AC refuse to work.

Again I called company and their technician visited with a charge of 450/- to tell me that the Gas of AC (R32) has leaked out of the AC and I will have to pay 4500/- to get it diagnosed, repair and Gas filling. The warranty of compressor is just a clause, where nothing is covered except the compressor motor which normally work for at-least 15 ~ 20 years normally.

I am planning to get it repaired from a local person which will be much cheaper to run the AC for some more years.

But I strongly would recommend my fellow buyers not to buy expensive foreign brands. Brands don't come with assurance of anything.

I feel the AC I have received is with manufacturing defect. But since it has successfully completed its warranty period, I will have to suffer the rest of this ACs life.
